My '85 BMW 325e recently started idling irregularly. The inspection light also came on in the dash. Now the irregular idling starts after the motor has warmed up. When I am stopped at a red light etc. the revs drop to about 6 or 700 rpm then up to about 1500 rpm continously. This only started after the inspection light came on. My car has 270,000 Kms.
