I got a letter this evening from my mortgage company (ABN-AMRO) stating that DHL lost one of their tapes that has my personal information on it. They then offer 3 months free of some credit monitoring service that I'm sure they hope I'll forget about three months from now & continue to pay (can you say 100 free hours of AOL?)

I just find it hard to believe that they would admit to losing this information in the first place, and that they don't have some sort of kick-back going with the credit monitoring service.

I guess I'll get on the phone to these jokers tomorrow and see what I can find out.
