It did save Chrysler in 1981 when it debuted, but Iacocca & Co. hung on to the design way too long. Almost all its cars in the early 90s were STILL K-car based! They were almost bankrupt again, and it wasn't until Lutz came aboard and pushed the LH cars and the stratus/cirrus that things turned around for them.
Yep...your '94 shadow has a lot in common with an '81 Aries, sadly enough. It should serve you well for basic transport though.
