For some reason I thought the 917 that was at Otis Chandler's museum in the early to mid 80's was gulf blue livery, but now it appears it was the sunoco livery and was in fact a 917/30.
A quick search revealed that the car Otis purchased was a 917/30, number 033 (formerly driven by some guy named Donahue
)
It was a long time ago, I didn't know anything about 917s then, and besides I have CRS
