On call tonight. 01.00 am here in Sweden. Among all the usual infections, allergic reactions, asthma, neonate emergencies etc - I just took care of a 13 year old girl (some ones daughter) brought in with ambulance. Found unconscious down town. Lethal alcohol levels in her blood. Torn a dirty clothes. Total amnesia.

After we got her stabilized and managed to track down her parents I sat down with them for a little chat. Your regular middle class parents. Nice jobs. No previous problems and utterly surprised and chocked over their little girls behavior.

Me. I am used to it. Sad to say.
