I used old kitchen units to put in each back corner of the garage, followed by lining the walls with big batons and screwing a normal kitchen style worktop to it.

Then I have a piece of office power outlet trunking with 3xtwin outlets wired in.

I covered one corner of the bench, about 2 foot wide in toolbox rubber lining for "delicate" stuff, and then in the other corner I covered in stainless, and added a vice. Add a load of shelving, and it's simple, effective, and dirt cheap (I think I only ended up paying for the batons and worktop. the rest I already had!)
