You see, we have this thing that created the federal government and is the envelope within which it shall remain; if it does not do so it breaks the law which created it.
I'm not advocating anything here, but you are ofcourse aware that the above is not absolute. The most obvious being the freedom of speech (shouting fire in a crowded room, etc..). It is interesting to see those on the left suddenly throw out exact wording declarations from the Constitution while holding that somewhere in the 14th Ammendment lies the Constitutional right to abortions, etc..
