The default position, until proven otherwise, should be that he was likely acting on bad intelligence, and not necessarily in bad faith. He wasn't acting on faulty intelligence. I knew there were no WMD's to be found in Iraq, and so did millions of other Americans. I have the advantage of being a trained military intelligence analyst, but anyone who cared to find out could do so from public resources.
