Well, there's definitely a list of things to start checking! This will probably be an adventure in troubleshooting for you.

I'd start by checking the fuel filter, and replacing it if it's old. Check the fuses... make sure there is no corrosion on them, and make sure none show any signs of stress... if they do, replace them. Check the voltage at the battery with the car at idle.

Just some steps to start out...
