Has the Enron debacle really hurt anyone? Only if you count the thousands who lost pensions/retirement/employment. Maybe the case has not recieved the press elsewhere that is has gotten here in Houston, but Skilling and Kenny Boy are rats. For him to say that he didn't know what was going on in the company is unbelievable. They both were portrayed in the media prior to the collapse as having godlike intelligence and business savvy. Skilling and Lay would likely back that assertion. Now for them to use the defense that they were ignorant of the double dealings is not credible, in fact it is incredible. A jury of his peers would include rats, roaches and liars. I hope they find him guilty and punish him severly. I did not lose any money in the collapse.
