Actually, I think that he echoes my views on the Iraq invasion to a "T". I am not a pacifist, or a "liberal", though I really don't mind being called one by Bush supporters, and I am not a hardcore Libertarian but I respect their viewpoint if it is intellectually honest.

I believe in the UN, flawed as it is, because it is the only organisation of its kind that brings all nations together at one table on a regular basis, including sworn enemies. It does have massive potential for avoiding wars and maintaining peace, if member nations abide by the charters that they agreed to. I completely agree that Iraq broke their agreement w/ the UN, but as Pat correctly pointed out, they did not have any separate agreement w/ the U.S. Using the U.N. as justification for invading Iraq while ignoring its ruling at the same time truly does not pass the straight face test in a way that I have never seen in my lifetime from our government. You would expect this level of diplomatic integrity from a 4th world tinpan despot. That is what I think of Bush, Cheney and the rest of the asshat-wearing neocons.
