I think War of the Worlds is the best movie I've seen in years. It really scared the crap out of me. I read the book (again) four years ago, the movie does it justice.

As for the car coil and little things like that; when was the last time you read a good book that did not have a few hick-ups? Get over it, suspend disbelief for a moment.

The movie was like a dream, and like a dream not everything made sense right at that moment but continued on it's own.

You could feel it as an event not just a movie.

Highly recommended on a large movie screen with state of the art sound system and stadium seating. You don't play a movie like this on a typical HT system and expect to get the experience that the director intended for you to have.
