I could see how in the theater or a nice home system the special effects might wow past the fac that the movies sucked so bad. I think I have had that experience before. But, again, when watched on the small screen in full screen mode (my wife picked this up remember) you have to rely on the plot somewhat to hold it together.
Suspending disbelief does not mean suspending all common sense...what happened to all the people on the plane? No bodies? Why didn't it completely burn down the house? If there's a fire outside coming in, why hide in the basement room with the GAS PIPES!!!
I think I completely wroite it off when that scene with the eye was EXACTLY LIKE Minority Report. Ug.
There were a couple of scense I found troubling in a post 9/11 world, but the rest was so laughable.
Did anyone see "Dawn of the Dead"? I think that's the name of the movie. I never saw it but thinking of the trailer I saw in the theater
still sends chills up my spine. Those people trying to escape the burning neighborhood, troubled me to a deep level. Whew. Please tell me that movie was as good as the promo.
