The original story was considered a parable about British colonialism.
I don't mind it when trash movies are made out of trash source material. But WotW was a great book & concept and deserved far better than this mass of plot holes and inconsistencies.
What was good was the 'ground level,' personalized view of the action. What was bad: just about everything else.
