I second the opinion that your garage is never big enough. Was happy with a nice 2 car about 6 years ago, then moved into a 3+ car, grew out of that and now am building this:
It is a little farther along now, but you can get the point.
My suggestion to you CF is good lighting first and formost. If you get flourescent, get the higher $$ units that use the cold start bulbs (T8, I think). Little more $$ initally, but they operate much better when it is cold out.
