When in my early twentys my mom (God rest her soul) confronted me and said "A man doesn't live with his mother a boy does"...words that I'll never forget. It was tough as I saw many of my spoiled friends living in luxury with their parents who catered to their every whim. Shortly thereafter I moved into an apartment. I then realized it was the best thing my mother had done for me. I never looked back.
