Hi,

First off, I know there are lots of SW threads, but my query is realating to an 85 model EURO car.

Has anyone installed a Steve Wong chip in an 1985 Euro/ROW spec Carrera?

I would like to know if there is any specific installation procedures relating to the chip swap.

Such as whether the chip with just be a straight swap or whether any pin conversions have to be carried out, additional desoldering of circuit board contacts, etc etc.

I kind of recall something along those lines being required, but just need some confirmation.

I am thinking of ordering this chip as my next upgrade. I will probably go a custom EURO chip as my car has SSIs and a 2in, 2out sport muffler. Car should go pretty well with the chip I think.

I have also emailed SW himself but would like some feedback from Pelicans.
