if the engine is together, rotate the crank.
if it's apart, turn the cam with a 17mm wrench slowly until you feel interference, then turn the crank one way or the other until the cam will turn with no interference, line up the 930 mark, and turn the crank back to Z1. this is assuming you are getting ready to set the cam timing.
