what a weird thread...
here's my $0.02. If your wife deserves a nice car because she has to (in your words) "put up with me", then I'd buy a used Honda for her and spend the money saved on psychotherapy. It's the gift that keeps on giving.
But that's just my crazy opinion. ymmv.
