I had a friend who always tried to make me his alibi. Unfortunately, his stories were usually designed to get me in more trouble than him (so that even if his lie was found out, he stilled looked better).

I got a call from him Thanksgiving weekend. I didn't answer the phone. He left a message along the lines of "Great news! I'm a father!" I decided that he has now become a mess with which I do not want to become entangled. (I'm sure he'll figure out a way to make me the "real" father so he can weasle out of child support at some point.)
