Mike,
I lived there for eight years and went almost everywhere. What are you interests? Hiking, hunting, fishing, photography? The state is so big and varies so much in terrain, wildlife, climate, that you may need to decide what you want to see then determine a destination.
Its awesome and I love it dearly.
