I also broke a tooth...my pin sprocket slipped off while the pin was installed and pulled a tooth off the flange.
You may loose the ability to adjust timing correctly if either of those teeth border on the hole you need to place the pin in when performing the timing. I'd doubt the strength of the adjacent teeth now too.
Replace the flange....Pelican offers them for ~$30.
