I'm completely guilty. Raising kids will do that.
Funny story about my wife as told by my kids; My wife was driving the kids to school in pretty heavy traffic. At a stop light, someone tapped their horn to let the lead car know the light had changed. (This is a common thing in New York, but considered pretty rude in California) Anyway, my wife begins a sermon to the kids about how casual use of the horn while driving is unacceptable. People are in too big a hurry and all the stress and horn-honking lead to road rage and a whole host of other societal ills. Just as she was finishing her diatribe, someone pulled into her lane unexpectedly and nearly hit the car. In one rapid motion, she blasted the horn and screamed, "A**hole!!!!"
The kids still tease her about that one.
