What a racket. All they want is your money, of course, but the circumstances surrounding their extortion have become less and less credible. Now we are expected to be relieved at the "no points" option because it saves us the real money - insurance premium increases.
Now the states, counties, and city jurisdictions play us against the insurance industry. The message is to pay without a fight, or we tell your insurance. Fight the state and lose, and they flag it to the insurance industry via the points system. Go along quietly, and it will be our little secret. Amazing it has come to this.
What if every one of us fought every lousy ticket? I know that is impractical and inconvenient in many cases. It sure would jug up the courts though, now wouldn't it? Why is there absolutely NO burden of proof left for the officers to meet? It's just become too darn easy for them. This has to come to an end, but how?
