Here's a question that nobody asked yet. Did you notice the oil temperature guage getting into the red when you were driving? How long did it stay there?

You never know. Maybe the engine was stone cold when the belt broke and you only drove it for 10 minutes (which maybe seemed like 20 mins due to your worries) and the rain cooled the heads and your engine is fine. Do the compression and oil pressure tests...that and the fan belt shouldn't cost you more than two hours of shop labor at a decent Porsche shop (less than $200).
