Yeah I agree with the rest, this just happened to me on Christmas Eve too. I had the same problem with being able to roll the car while it was in any gear. To tell you the truth I haven't got around to opening my old tranny up yet to see exactly what happened, but i am guessing it is the ring and pinion as others have stated since it affects all the gears. I dropped in a used tranny over New Years, and it was pretty much a cake walk. All I would say is be sure you trust the person you are buying a transmission off of, because nothing would be worse than putting in a bad one. BTW I did have good luck using the junk yard part request sites on the web (i.e.
http://www.junkyarddog.com/ etc) where it sends out your request to many junk yards... I think I had about 6 or 7 responses within a day. I managed getting one off a guy from my area through the classified section of this site and I am very pleased. Good luck finding one
