Actually, that is a Curtis P-40, made famous by Claire Chennault's Flying Tigers, fighting the Japanese forces in China. Hmmm.
Maybe they should have shown a pic of an A-10 'Hog. At least that actually has a rotary weapon. Didn't one or more) of the big bombers (29, 36 or 47 ) have a Gatling gun in the tail position? My reference just lists 20 mm cannon.
