For hand guns, look at the magtech rounds. They are P+ and use small amounts of shot contained in a plastic casing. I use these in my very small pistols since they are under powered (25 and 32 ACP).

For the rest, I like PMC Starfire or Corbon JHP. Both have very good reputations for proper expansion. You will need to pratice a bit with Corbon, since they have a bit more recoil than Standard FMJs.
