Zman,

I agree with, and understand, your frustration. I have had a similar experience with someone here on this board for a part that I desperately needed in the current resto of my 951. having looked for a good, (read: non-cracked) used late-944 airbag dash for quite some time, I thought I finally found one when a fellow pelican responded and told me he had one in perfect condition out of a 968. I was quite happy to hear this, but kept my my joy in check because I didn't want to get too excited should the deal fall through. well, it did

the person-in-question kept stringing me along for over a month until suddenly communication started to break down. I was all ready to accept the deal and send the money when I couldn't get him to tell me the final details. (shipping, where to send the check, etc. etc.) at first, he would take days to return my calls, and after a while he would no longer return them at all

as can be expected, I was pissed. I had visions of a crusade to expose this individual here, on the six-o-clock news, and on America's Most Wanted! in the long run, after I had a chance to cool down, I decided that I would be better served by spending my time and energy on finding another dash instead of wasting it on trying to even things up. I ended up finding exactly what I needed after all right here from WaA420, in a transaction that ended just perfectly

I understand your frustration, however the deeds of said person are going to come back to them on their own. an old girlfriend who used to be into some sort of Buddhist something-or-other once told me "there is no such thing as bad or good karma. it's all just karma, and what you reap is what you sow." in other words, it'll all get back to him someday

in the end, the only thing you lost was your time. don't waste too much energy on trying to settle a score. you'll find what you need

oh, and one thing I've learned from that ordeal: if the deal isn't done within a few weeks, it's dead
