Flew some people to Aspen in the early 80's. They invited us to dinner with the group, who were a bunch of trust fund babies. They did not know the meaning of work but sure had a lot of money to throw around.

We went to one of the nicest places in town, then into a private room off to the side. About 20 people there, everything was pre-ordered and the food coming for hours. Any kind of booze you wanted and your glass was always full.

Desert was the most interesting. Waiters brought several silver serving trays around. Turns out that one of the hosts had also brought "party favours" along and the waiters had turned it into long lines of white "Peruivan marching powder" for desert. As we were flying them home the next day, the flight crew had a good excuse to decline to join in the activities...

Was later told that not including desert, the dinner was over $10k...
