A very good friend of mine bought a new 2004 Accord in the fall of 2004. He paid $18,500 for an EX with the 160 hp 4 cylinder and an automatic. Very well equiped with a nice sound system, alloys and sunroof. Car stickered around $22k or so.

Lots of used ones were $16k or so for the same car a year or two older. What's the incentive to save $2500 and 20k miles? For him, it was a no brainer to buy the new car for $2500 more. No excuses, full warranty, etc...

A 4 or 6 cylinder Accord with an automatic is a very common car. Find a high volume dealer that has some left over 2005's, bring your own financing and get a deal
