I know the best place to mount a fuel pump is near the fuel tank so it can push fuel rather than pull fuel. If I am unable to mount the fuel pump on the cross member, is the only other place the smugglers box? (This is with low pressure fuel pumps not CIS.)

Past threads have info on which fuel system to use (high pressure -vs- low pressure) and which fuel pumps to use but not too many mention where to mount other than cross member or engine compartment.

If I bought the PMO pump, would it mount on the crossmember?
