Besides the above you might also be charged with eluding. Might be a real crime in your state (i.e. misdemeanor or lower level felony...).

But on the facts stated, a decent atty should be able to get you off if so charged - there was no signal to pull over.

If you are stopped, say that you don't think it was your car that he saw. After that, shut up and say absolutely nothing. Cops are well trained to get you to answer questions (in a friendly way, not by torture, or Xexamination). A good cop will be hard to resist, so keep your mouth shut. If hauled in the very first and only sentence out should be "I want an attorney."


Next time you can save yourself a lot of trouble by.....

not speeding.
