Ron, I ditched the Mallory pump and went with a Walbro mounted in a trapdoor box in the fuel cell. 2.5 bar all day long and no fuel starvation whatsoever.

The idea behind mounting it in the smuggler's box was to facilitate inspection between track sessions. I also made sure the only connections in the -6AN fuel lines were at the back on the filter console and at the front on the cell. Problems more frequently occur at junctions, whether liquid or electrical.

I like Sherwood's idea of the airtex pump. You could buy a pair for less than a Bosch high pressure pump.
