What-the-heck???? CC and I agree on something????
That's it, I'm going back to bed...surely this is all a bad dream!
Teaching and actually ingraining a structured environment is very important to child raising. I've only raised one, so please don't think of me as any kind of expert on the subject, it's just my own feelings on the subject.
Also, while the idea of "closer interaction" between the teacher and the student in a home school environment is ideal, I have to agree with VaSteve. I've seen too many people in my lifetime who weren't even "qualified" to be parents (other than having the proper child bearing equipment) attempting to home school their kids.
If mom or dad do not understnd how to do something, how the heck are they supposed to teach their children. Sure, you can read it from the text book, but you really need to "know" it.
