Your comments are not the first regarding the prices of our toys. Most of us here offset the cost of the parts by doing the labor ourselves. I, too, am frustrated by the cost of some seemingly simple parts but I wouldn't trade my ol' SC unless it was for a a move up to a 993. What I have found to be very useful is to read everything you can about the car. I love to read and am lucky enough to have enough time to do this.
