More info coming out now. The pax smelled fire one hour out of port, and the crew did not return to land but kept steaming to open water. Were said to be fighting the fire but why not return to port where everyone could have gotten off?

Two hours later and not one announcement from the crew, the ship sank in open water.

At this time about 385 people saved in several lifeboats, and another 150 bodies in the water. About 900 people missing and assumed that they are still in their cabins...

Sad to see...
