The retractor under the rear deck will require a different rear panel and reforming the deck panel (parcel shelf) because the late model cars that had the retractible belt had a different rear steel parcel shelf. You would have to place the retractor on the top of the shelf.

So should I try to find a top mounting reel?

The 3 point belt will be used on a kids booster seat for a few years so I wonder if a top mounted one would be better?
