Hate to but in folks but I have just had x3 spend an unbelievable amount of time with me via phone and email over the last couple weeks with respect to a project I am doing. Initially I had intended on going w/ the LS-1 but I have learned a ton about the theory and real world (if you can call doing something like this real world) application of forced air. There was never and I stress never any hard sell, just detailed, long (no offense intended x3 I asked for it and I was just as long myself) corespondence, explaining what I was getting into from both an application and potential failure side. Downsides were stressed long before we got into any discussion of a buyer / seller relationship. I love the 944 we have. 80K, bought new, maintained religiously, garaged, kids never drove it, blahh blahh blahh, still not worth s... if I try to sell it. SO basicly I am pretty much going all out to have fun. It's a hobby and a current passion. There are a few of us out there that have expensive hobbies (most don't include a 944) and understanding spouses. I will post before, during, and after shots when completed and also report on how it went.

Completed to date:
Suspension to include: adjustable coil overs, Koni yellows, vented rotors, Wilwoods up front, wheel bearings, ball joints, all misc bushings replaced, turbo sway bars F&R, 17" Mille Miglia cup knock-offs w/ 225X45X17 F and 255X40X17 R, rear dropped .75", front down 1". Car looks great. Most of the minor suspension stuff was unnecessary but easy and cheap to do while on a rack.

Prior to kit arriving:
GT Racing headlight conversion, Head off, tappets, followers, copper head gasket, powder coat or plate a few things for eye candy, replace anything suspect. Now all I have to do is sit back and wait a few weeks for the goodies to arrive.

After arrival and installation:
1/2 day on dyno to get stuff right. Go play. Replace clutch and find a good used 951 LSD. Probably should just do it now but I am curious about how long it's going to take to torch the old ones. I don't drive like an a-hole, it will not be tracked, but I am tired of little kids blowing by me w/ dad's old BMW 325.

Finally:
GT Racing Carrera 924 lightweight front clip, hood, rear bumper and valance, sunroof. Should drop around 175 lbs including the stock headlight motors and such.

84 944 bought for my wife's 25th birthday, US car picked up in Germany and shipped back from France. This is the project car.
86 911 Targa / sold last week to fund this project
91 C4 Targa
89 Dinan 535
98 M-3 w/ full Euro baby seat for the 2 YO grandbaby
00 Durango
