****SOLD****
This is painful for me, lucky for you. This car is the realization of a childhood dream, however recent life events (all good!) have dictated that my resources be employed elsewhere. So, I am reluctantly selling my 911. It is currently slumbering for the winter in my garage, but is available to show and/or drive on request. I am the third owner.
**Asking $16,500
**I have a stack of receipts an inch thick from the previous owners that reveals a careful maintenance history.
**The car has no rust, surface or structural.
**Miles are 130,xxx.
**Car had a top end rebuild from a very reputable local shop at approximately 78K.
**Brakes (pads, rotors, caliper rebuild) were done just a couple thousand miles ago.
**Front tires have about 60% tread, rears a bit less.
**I have owned it since August 2005, and since then I have done a full oil/filter change, installed a new voltage regulator, a new engine blower motor, new fan belt, and new custom Lloyd floor mats. I also have a box of tune up parts that I was going to do in the spring: air filter, fuel filter, valve cover gaskets, spark plugs, cap, rotor, etc.
**Car has leather seats, driver's side powered and heated. Power windows, central locking, power mirrors, fog lights, aftermarket Clarion stereo with 6-disc changer under passenger seat, sunroof, full tool roll, OEM air compressor, fitted Tyvek car cover.
**The A/C is not blowing cold - all the parts are there, and I was going to address this before the summer. But, I do not know what the problem is yet, whether a simple recharge or something more expensive.
**I had a prepurchase inspection done by a reputable shop in August, leak-down numbers were excellent at around 2% and compression showed excellent and consistent numbers as well.
**Engine pulls strong, no hesitation. After a long drive, it will drip a couple drops of oil and then stop; does not leak when cold. Oil consumption is minimal, about 1/2 quart every 1000 miles. Typically, there is a puff of white smoke upon start-up if the car has been sitting for a while, otherwise no smoke of any kind.
**The 915 transmission shifts like a 915 should, no grinding or popping out of gear. Clutch engages at half-way pedal travel. The only anomaly is 3rd gear, which is sticky when shifting out of gear.
**All lights (interior and exterior) work, all gauges are operational including the clock, heater controls and blowers all work, radio and all speakers work, windows/locks/mirrors/seats all work. Leather seats have worn well, no rips. Dash is pristine (no cracks), as are map pockets and door panels. Carpets are very good. Overall, the interior is in excellent condition.
**I had the exterior professionally detailed in September and the paint is glossy. The 16" Fuchs (6" front, 7" rear) are excellent, no fading or curb rash. There is no record or evidence of accident damage, however some panels have been repainted to a high standard likely due to scratches and/or faded paint. No overspray, orange peel, drips, etc. The lower half of the bumpers have some small bubbles in the paint, though it is cosmetic only.
The car is magnificent, it goes, turns and stops as it should, and has been well-maintained its entire life. I will entertain offers, but I feel that it is fairly priced considering its age, condition and documented maintenance history, so please no low ball offers.
I will add more pictures as soon as I can.
