Let her try the .45 next time. The .32 is a lightweight frame and that makes the recoil seem more. The heavier the frame the more stable it is. A good starter pistol for a lady is a revolver in .38 special with a 4" or 6" barrel.
If she does not like the .32 then she really would not like a .357 or .44 magnum! Those puppies kick like no tomorrow. Have also seen someone with a Thompson Contender (single shot pistol) chambered in .45-70, the long range rifle caliber. Can only imagine the kick from that puppy...
