A local guy in an Evo had a 4 pt harness, Momo wheel (no airbag), and slammed into a corner worker bunker after trying to avoid debris on track. Last I heard his face was smashed and he was in a drug induced coma. I don't think he ever came out of it. 4 pt...just say no.
I think you either go with stock seat and 3pt belts, or get a proper seat and go with 5/6pt harness and a roll bar. As for long drives...what do you consider long? This weekend I was at close to 1000 miles between the drive to/from LA-Las Vegas and laps at LVMS (and yes, about 250 miles of that was *on track*

). And with traffic it wsa 6 hours straight on the trip there. I've also driven from LA to NorCal for track events.
Then again, I think I might be just a tad hardcore...
