My boss bought a lottery ticket with the spare change he had left over from buying a golf hat his wife didn't want him to buy. He stopped at the 7-11 and bought a lottery ticket. A few days later he went in again (to get milk or something) and the cashier mentioned his store sold the winning ticket and encouraged my boss to get his. He declined, saying it was in the glove box and he probably didn't win.

Well, he did win. Somewhere between 5 and 10 million.

The kicker? His wife didn't want him to buy the hat. It was also one of a hand full of times he bought a ticket.
