The "big home" market here has absolutely tanked and I'm in no postion to take advantage. Those of you in Cali may choose to not read the following:

I was just offered a 5,500sq finished home on over an acre in very good neighborhood. It has a 6 , yea I said SIX, stall over/under garage. 6 bedrooms, 5 baths, I think 18-20 total rooms, blah blah blah, everything upper level quality. Backyard athletic court, big money landscaping, backs up to woods, etc... Cost over half a million 14 years ago to build (includes $60k for double lot). 15 minutes from INTL airport, great schools, very good location. It is "subdivision" style living, but obviously different. You guess the price.
