Nonsense, the Bible Belt region is loaded with porn-loving God-fearing folks:
Could half of Christian men have a problem with porn, as so many of the statistics say? Porn is reported to be a 12 billion dollar industry in the U.S… 50 percent of men viewed pornography within one week of attending a Promise Keepers stadium event… 54 percent of pastors said they viewed porn within the past year in a Pastors.com survey… in a 2003 Focus on the Family poll 47 percent of respondents said porn is a problem in their home.

I grew up in the middle of the Bible Belt. A few years ago they tried to have a play involving some gay characters. The religious nuts in the town warned the guy directing the play to stop and he persisted.
Two days before the play was to start they firebombed his house. He burned to death in the fire. Play was canceled.
Try doing something like this in that city and it would be burnt to the ground before the next weekends service. They may watch porno at home but something like this would never fly out in public.
