Hello to all. I'm new to the forum, and could use some advise. I just acquired a 66' 911. From the second owner and with only 77K miles it's an oldie but a goodie. The body and chassis are remarkable, but the engine and trans need work. The car sat in a garage for the last 14 years, but after considerable effort the motor ran. Unfortunately, even with 150 lbs of comp. it smokes quite a bit, and the trans only provides 1st and reverse. I'd like to put them on the side, for now, and replace the motor and trans with a 915 and a 3.0 or 3.2., I think. Could you folks give me some advise here? Aside from the hp difference between the two: Which way would you go and why? Thanks in advance!
