So what's the difference (from the seat-of-the-pants) between a tiptronic/torque converter type of transmission that's everywhere today, and DSG? Buttons are buttons. Can I actually tell if a torque converter is, um, converting torque? Or if a system of servo's and dual clutches is doing the deed? (Like the average driver out there cares?) Guess I'll have to find out for myself next week. Hopefully she'll have the car nicely broken-in by then...
