Was a sales rep for one of the largest companies in the world of its type and coverered a 17 state terrority. Straight commission and got anywhere from 10-15% on sales. Took it over right out of college and gross sales were $326k. Seven years later when I moved on the sales were over $700k.
I did well enough in the old job to put enough funds away to return to college for 2 years without working while re-training myself. Loved my work but loved flying more.
If you look forwards to going to work most of the time it sure beats the hell out of something you are not happy with.
