I have a question about engine (oil) temperature. I have an 87 911. My temp gauge reads right at or just above the first white mark during normal driving. I was at a D.E. event and my temp. started climbing to around the second white mark. I couldn't tell for sure if the front oil cooler fan had turned on but I don't believe it did. I asked one of the PCA guys about it and he told me my temp. was normal. Anyone know when I should start worrying about temperature? At what point should my fan kick in and is there a way to test to see if my fan/thermostat is working properly?
