This is only a temporary fix. I plan to spot paint the fender for now and then strip the car at some future date after the whole job/carreer thing stabilizes. That's when I'll replace affected panels or weld in patches. I also discovered a rusty spot in the passenger floor pan under the seat last week. Really disappointed, but hey, that's what happens with these old guys. It will be another bonding experience.
Tom, I will take a look at the fenders when I come down.
